PHE has successfully provided consultancy services for Solid Waste Management

  • for the City of Chennal to Chennai Municipal Corporation.

  • for the City of Lucknow to Directorate of
    Environment and Ecology - Uttar Prades

  • for the City of Mumbai to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

The scope of consultancy for these World Bank aided projects included :

  • Conducting field Surveys to assess quantity and quality of waste generation and availability of landfill sites and provide effective solutions for collection and disposal.

  • Preparation of Master plans for Collection,
    Segregation, Transportation & disposal of solid waste. Prepare guide lines for Toxic
    Waste Management, laying emphasis on resource recovery & waste minimisation.

  • Recommendations on Transfer Stations, modern land fill methods, design of landfill sites & use of modern equipment at landfills.

  • Revamping Organization and Management structure for Waste Management departments to provide more effective controls. Assistance in optimum resource mobilization and allocation.

    Transfer Station Complex at Mahalaxmi for
    Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai

  • Feasibility Report for the generation of Methane Gas from landfill sites in Mumbai.

  • Feasibility study for the generation & Utilization of non-conventional energy from Municipal Waste for Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
